ePUB reader uses Adobe Digital Editions while PDF is handled by Adobe Reader. Text entry on notes can be done via the keyboard or the stylus. Most operations can also be done via the QWERTY keyboard. Contrast is very good, not impacted by the touch screen. This is similar to the Wacom stylus and shuts off when inserted in the slot however, it is a Hanvon design. This unit features a touch screen which must use the included stylus (fingers will not work).

It is more portable than previous devices due to its smaller 5' screen. Unfortunately, the device doesn't have any internal memory in order to store these files, but instead it relies on SD cards for this function (1 GB SD card included in the sales package). China-based Hanwang has developed an E Ink-based e-book reader, the N510. The portable e-book reader from Hanvon also offers a very high level of versatility from the point of view of compatible files, since it will work very well with TXT, HTML, PNG, JPG, PDF, XEB, CEB, MP3, MTXT formats. Moreover, the e-paper display is sunlight-readable and, besides having quite a paper-like appearance, it doesn't feature an EMI generating backlight/inverter, meaning that, most likely, you won't have any problems using it for very long periods of time.
